Mine was a 1600 mile round trip to pick up my six pack Challenger and then did the same trip to pick up the original block a few years later. A pervious owner still had the block. Now if I could only find the matching four speed. Supposedly, the transmission that matches my car car was accidentally swapped  into a 70 hemi b-body when both cars had their transmissions out at the same time. I do have the 18 spline that belongs to a b-body that came with my Challenger when I bought it. This was all around Waxahachie TX.

I went from mid Michigan to Jacksonville Florida for the convertible but flew down and drove it back . . . . I was lucky it made it . . . rained the whole way back as well . . .
No complaints from me . . . 1970 440 (not original) cuda convertible auto sight unseen for $8500 . . . looked at it for about 15 min . . . supplied cash and then jumped in and headed home to Michigan.     :2thumbs:

Sounds like a great trip. I love going on long drives with as little stopping as possible. Great way to see the country in a hurry.

My buddy and I haul cars all the time(but usually a bit less distance) but we are looking forward to making this trip to Arkansas. I am going after a Mopar but will leave it at that until the cash changes hands and the car is loaded.

I suppose my trip from Australia doesn't count.
However landing in LAX I drove to north Eastern Kansas in a rental and drove my Challenger just over 1850 miles back to Longbeach for shipping to Australia. Great to drive on the wide open Interstates and part of the old Route 66.
I had my Little Red Express Truck shipped from Kansas to Stanton in California though as I couldn't get over the last time.
I was hoping to come over this last Christmas but had to work so maybe in the middle of the year for something else, time will tell but it will be a MOPAR.   :burnout:

I would say 45mins is about the furthest I've driven to pick up any projects I've bought. :cooldancing:

I've had a couple long trips to go get cars.   :burnout:   One of them was 5,510 miles and another was 5,092 miles.  I did the full 5,092 miles all in 5.5 days (including loading the car and lots of parts / engine).  Drove about 20 out of the 24 hours each day.  That was one of the best trips!  I would have slept more, but I was so jacked up thinking about the Hemi I never got tired.

I love driving to get rare and cool cars.  It might be my favorite thing to do besides restoring them.   :grinyes:  Here's the longer trips I've driven for Mopar project cars:

~5,510 miles
~5,092 miles
~4,884 miles
~4,492 miles
~4,126 miles (drove the whole way back without my right bicep.  It tore off strapping the car on to the trailer)

Lots of trips under the 4,000 mile mark.  Going to take a drive in about a week that will be 1,548 miles.  It will be a 2 day trip to look at a car.

I've shipped some pretty far, but I'm sure guys have shipped them further.

However, we will have to wait for Cody to chime in before we can annoint you as the winner as I think he might have gone coast to coast.
