    First back injection today,hope it works!

    Everything went well,pretty simple procedure.Basically numb the area, stick in a big needle and shoot in some steriod concoction.Worst part about it was not eating for 8 hours previous,I was starving when I got out!Doc said it will take 3-4 days before I notice any improvement and if it helps I go back for a second in a few weeks.

    Does this mean you would fail an NFL steriod test???  :laughing: Seriously, I hope it does the trick torred.  ;)

    Torred it works!! I had it done a few years ago to my neck. It really works well for like 3-4 months.  My insurance didn't pick up the bill for me at 900.00 a shot. :ack:

    I actually wanted to see the needle but it was over before I knew it.Next time I`ll ask for a mirror so I can watch the whole thing.

     :nono: That's not a good idea Torred, that sucker is a bign, it's not one of those run of the mill needles like they use to give you a flu shot or such. This is one bad boy that packs a punch. Been there, it does the job, just look in the mirrow at the mark it left, looks like a bloomin lead pencil stab. BTW, thanks for reminding me of this,lol..............Sure hope this helps you out buddy, see you at Carlisle.  :thumbs:

     Torred it will help alot. I had to have one before too.
     When I had to have mine done, I went numb from the waist down for a few seconds, that was a scary feeling. Has that happened to anyone else here?
     I don't think there's any injury that grates on more that a back injury, so good luck with it.

    torredcuda i'm hoping your shot helps you. I received an epidural for each of two hernia ops back in 93 and was given a valium before each epidural. Kinda funny but once i woke up from each op the epidural just never entered my mind :ack: :grinno: :grinno:
