Short complaint
« on: February 12, 2016 - 06:08:36 PM »
When I ordered my wheels from Year One I noticed that they were returns. I could tell they had tires mounted and were bolted on the car at some point (probably for fitment) and the boxes were re-packaged. Even though YearOne says NO RETURNS on wheels that have had tires mounted. But I paid full price for "used" wheels. They were not perfect but good enough to keep.

Earlier this week I ordered a heater core. It came today. It was clearly a repackage and a return. Might have been installed also. Cheap looking part too. Very flimsy. But anyway. I want new parts when I order new parts.
Rant over I guess.

We quit buying from them. Over priced, not honest, lousy customer service.   :2cents:

Give them a chance to make it right. If they don't make it right, then feel free to roast them here and anywhere else.

I don't think I'd be too happy with obviously used parts like the wheels. I would have called them back and asked for another set unless they were going to give me a credit for used parts.  Heater cores I would never trust, I get mine recored with the same style core that they came with, mind you those are getting hard to find too. I just had one redone for the Challenger, rad shop bought up a bunch of close out cores, simply swapped my heater tubes into a properly sized core.

Paying full price for used parts is just not right ,usually they ship them to Canada as they know how much hassle & cost ti is to return them .

:iagree:  Don't forget about "discount exempt".  Unless you are just getting into the hobby and don't know any better, I'm not sure why you would ever buy from them.

For all OEM stuff my first call is to Dave at Roseville.  For anything aftermarket, I check Summit and Mancini unless it is something specific.
