Put a new zinc anode in my water pump housing a year ago. Pulled it
out for inspection today. Still corrodes pretty bad, even though I had extra corrossion inhibitor and have the battery
disconnected most the time. I also went to a closed coolant system with expansion overflow
bottle, thinking less air in system, but still getting similar results. At least this means the iron block or aluminum
is not corroding. These are about $20 at Summit.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"
