Yes he's an indoor only.

Oscar is getting Senile?
Or is this what we'll do when we get old as well?...

He sits on top of the toilet seat down and likes to listen to the water trickle from the faucet.
This can go on for up to an hour or more.

Oscar just hit 15 years old.

18 years for our cat. Indoors only. Passed on a couple years ago. Learned something interesting medically about gerieatric cats. Their heart will drop and turn.

We also have a 90+ years and still going desert turtle.

Removing the warning labels one at a time.
Nature will take care of the rest.

You can learn a lot from a tortoise.

Move slowly, but move and think strategically.
Eat healthy.
Hide when the heat gets going.
Talk less and listen often.
Keep patience everyday.

Ha ha so true.
Very smart. Has her daily routines. Her home is a wood box she comes back to almost every night. It is next to the kitchen slider. When she hears us inside she will come out and wait for her daily lettuce breakfast. Romaine only... Will not touch iceburg.
Yes, I posted pictures of her before with the cart.

We have had her 15-20 years. My wife got her from a coworker that at the time was in his mid 70s. His parents had had her all his life that he recalled.

Here is another with our cats enjoying the wild life and her enjoying my construction. She trashed a lot of my leveled sand.

If you think about it. If you subtract her hibernation time of approximately 30% of each year that would put her in her 60s.

My old dog Gizmo was a Cavalier King Charles mix and was almost 22.  He was rough street dog that the mailman and meter reader hated because he chased them.  The local humane society was quite familiar with him as they had rescued him from abusive treatment more than once.

When we took him in he was more than two years old, and we had him for almost 19 years.  Up to the last six months, he was pretty lively and happy, although almost totally deaf.  When the systems started failing, he went downhill fast.  I still miss him.
