Great Lakes Mopar
« on: February 16, 2016 - 02:32:34 PM »
I'm wondering if anyone here has recent experience with Great Lakes Mopar in Greenville Michigan. They have a fair amount of NOS parts on ebay and on their website. Very pricey though.

I find an old thread (2012) on another mopar board which relates some less than great experiences on some purchases.

Any feedback would be appreciated before I take the plunge.  :feedback:

I'll answer my own question

I was able to score a NOS front valance for my 72 challenger.  It was pretty pricey but I was running out of time. I paid what they were asking and I got exactly what I paid for.  The shipping was actually quicker than advertised, came professionally boxed and the part is in excellent condition, especially considering it is over 40 years old. Exactly what I needed, no repairs needed and very minimal work to get it ready to paint.  Communication isn't their best attribute but I did well on this purchase on ebay.

My Bad!

Substitute "Header Panel" for "Valence".  The header panel is what I needed.  The fellows who worked on my car last year had sand blasted the original header panel.

Wasn't looking to good.  :eek4:

Technically speaking, the later front valances are indeed different -- tabs & holes are stamped differently to accommodate the plastic insert.

Though all years of valances will bolt to all years of fenders
