Just for glancing at, they are cool, but for real use, if it isn't in yer face, you miss the shift points by a few hundred rpms, which results in missing your power band and can loose a race when running an experienced opponent.. Myself and the hp levels I used to have. I would just keep the nose of my car right in front of yours anyways, with plenty of power still on tap. Getting you to over wind your engine and spin some bearings or float a valve. I know it was mean, but when it come down to chevy and ford boys, I would send you back to your garage in a heart beat, knowing your hood was coming off and you were eating beans for a month. It's alwys fun hearing someone say they had a 500 hp engine and 200hp in NOS on their 3700 lb car. That only meant 50 -100 bucks coming my way on a road race sat night. Math was always fun back in the day. Watch out for turbos, n boost. times are changing. Choose your battles wisely. If a bet is over 1k usually they have 1200 hp or so. So should you. Why n how do I find myself going so deep into this stuff anymore.? Non rally tachs are cool guys. Just keep your eyes on the road
