Trunk floor holes, measurements. 70 Challenger
« on: February 19, 2016 - 01:01:56 PM »
Going to be preping the new trunk floor next week. Anybody have a picture with measurements for fuel filler tube, vent tube, shock access holes . And the hole for the fuel sender wire.  Thanks in advance.

As much money these companies put into these panels, you would think they would either have them pre punched or have a template sold with them.

I was going to ask whose panels you used....All the ones I've used had the holes pre-drilled :dunno:

Found this pic of an AMD pan if anybody could put some numbers on it. Doesn't show the hole for the vent tube though.

Do you need all the holes measured?

Thanks for the reply moprr. Biggest concern is the fuel fill opening. The rest I can figure out. Need dimensions of the oval and where it is located in relation to the right side @ trunk drop off and back side @ tail panel.  Thx in advance.   :2thumbs:

Based on the above picture you should be able eye-ball it...size isn't that big of a deal, it gets covered and as long as you don't cut it bigger then the rubber.....I think you're over-thinking it :pullinghair: :2cents:

I'm just thinking about the angle of the dangle.   :smilielol:  i.e the angle of the fuel filler tube has to be pretty close so that the fit @ the quarter panel is flush.  And yea, I do have a tendency to overthink, stress and worry over little details. But I'm a perfectionist, it's a sickness   :pullinghair:               :rebel:

A perfectionist would have used a better trunk floor :roflsmiley: :roflsmiley: :drunk:
