Wonder why he chose that shifter
Pretty sure the factory made that decision for him. '74 seemed to be the "use up whatever's lying around" year.  I've seen dozens of original '74s with that shifter, both Barracuda and Challenger.  I've never seen one in a B-body, though.

That green 'Cuda is priced about right, if you can get it for the $30K without the trade.  It's a low-option polished turd with the wrong interior and front bumper and a tweaked rear valance. To me the engine bay is the bright spot.  Ugly, of course, but it's largely untouched. That gives me pause as to why they "had" to do the exterior... and those horrible stripes indicate to me that the refinish job was a minimal-investment, minimal-effort "Earl Scheib over lots of plastic" job.  The lack of any trunk or underbody shots only adds to that impression.

72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

I have had atleast 200 or more E bodies. Pick any year, even a body barracudas. I go WAY back.  When they all first rolled out. And the Stick shifter in that car was gone when they did that car in 1974. None left.  Sorry.  But I know what your saying. Just not going to agree on the shifter though.  Not even a 30k car either.  He can dream, but there might be someone to buy a car that doesn't know any better.
