72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

I talked to the guy in FL last night. I asked him what he would sell the car for, he really he-hawed around and did not have a "this is what I want" number. He said he has had a lot of interest in the car and that he would take offers and go from there. It sounds like he wants to sell the car, but wants top dollar (I don't blame him). Top dollar might be less than he is expecting however. He said he would listen to offers between 39,000 and 45,000. Pictures are pictures, but there are quite a few flaws in the finish just from looking at the pics. Not being a finished car, I think that is alot of money for a 71 Barracuda with Cuda features.

The 340 cuda sounds promising.  Wonder what the Fender tag shows.

The 318  Barracuda Cuda clone...that fender tag is all messed up.  1st of all, you can't get A22 on a factory black car, and look where it's placed?

So the data plata is a fraud? This is my fear, I can decode them to see what the car was born with, but I can't tell if the data plate is authentic or a recreation. When I do go to buy one, I won't be able to discern if I'm being hoodwinked. How common is it for sellers to invent a plate to create value?

I really don't think someone would create a Gran Coupe with a 318 data plate to pull one over on someone.

Looks like a reproduction tag; too nice looking to be original.     :dunno:

So reproduction tags are nothing to be afraid of, and I assume they are only reproduced if by an existing one or accompanying build sheet?
