Anyone know much about Smoky Mountain Traders? They are struggling to respond my inquiry about data plate or build sheet info on this car. It has every desirable option so I'm guessing its an original mauve 318 car with all the M and N codes.

Beautiful!!

Indeed, however they got back to me and "it didn't come with one (data plate) when they purchased it", which leaves me wondering why put a 340 in it instead of a 440+6 or hemi? I mean if it started life as a brown, column shift, 6 cylinder...

Beautiful!!

What's your budget? The Real 71/340/Black/Billboard/4 speed/Cuda will bid alot higher I'm guessing.  I'm guessing it will bid into the $50's or more and even that BP23 clone will easily go into the mid $40's. I guess it depends what you're looking for. The BS will always be worth a lot more and that one has it all except the shaker.

OK - My gut  says:  Florida  car is by a private dude who has yet to spend the 2500+ to get the "rest of the parts" for the shaker assembly.    Therefore he probably has got a TON into it and won't get all his money back out.  He has not stated a price though and that paint job looks like an expensive one.
The Utah one is sold by a broker and they're getting 100% of heir money and another 30% at least.  They're going to cut all corners and sell for the most possible.

Equal money - i got to go with the FL car.    If the UT car is like 20K less / around 40 and the other is around 60 then there you go - UT car.

I talked to the guy in FL last night. I asked him what he would sell the car for, he really he-hawed around and did not have a "this is what I want" number. He said he has had a lot of interest in the car and that he would take offers and go from there. It sounds like he wants to sell the car, but wants top dollar (I don't blame him). Top dollar might be less than he is expecting however. He said he would listen to offers between 39,000 and 45,000. Pictures are pictures, but there are quite a few flaws in the finish just from looking at the pics. Not being a finished car, I think that is alot of money for a 71 Barracuda with Cuda features.
