I usually try to squash these rumors since my company calls on FCA headquarters. Got some reliable info the other day though:
FCA LX/LY LF Charger Sedan Warren Truck 2019-07 to 2025-06 NA Move Production Vehicle between plant
Production of the next generation Dodge Charger [LF] is expected to migrate to a retooled Warren Truck, Michigan, United States, plant from the Brampton, Ontario, Canada, plant, which is expected to be closed. Faced with the difficulty of trying to redesign a retrothemed design, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles may replace the next-generation Challenger with an all-new, modern design badged as the Barracuda. The new Barracuda would be offered as a coupe and convertible.
Note that this says "may" and not "will". Unfortunately also says a "modern design" which doesn't necessarily bode well with us who would like a closer to original design.
