Brake lights and flashers work all the time, ignition on or not. Turns signals ignition on only.

Thanks again for your  reply  CHL2T, would you have any idea why mine only work with the ignition on? I'm rewiring and restoring from drag car I have all OEM wiring, could it bad ground? I'm really confused. Dam the  race car wiring was so much easier. I'll take any ideas.

Heck, now you've got me thinking... I'll check my 70 Challenger in the morning and see if they work without the key on and post back

Pretty sure they do but worth a check...

the power is sourced right out of the fuse block through the brake light switch & Up into the column so it may be sourced from the wrong point in the fuse block not that it would really matter I doubt you will be driving the car often with the key in the off position

Challenger - You`ll wish You Hadn`t
