Inner wheel wells
« on: February 20, 2016 - 04:28:13 PM »
Got all the undercoating off my car now, my inner wheel wells dont look like the onces I see on AMD at all, I thought they came in 2 pieces split in the middle with a ridge, mine had a ridge in the back, but then a top piece. And they do not look replaced either. trying to find pictures on the web now, maybe someone here knows if they are stock or whats going on.
Found one rusthole in the back of one wheelwell towars the trunk floor/trunk extension, a copule of old repairs in front towards the back seat, and a replced edge that has supposed to have a flange against the quarterpanel but do not have that now, some sloppy repairs in the past.

Those are factory convertible wheel houses. The factory simply cut the tops off of hardtop's and capped them. The caps are not reproduced to my knowledge  :2cents:

Aha, thanks Alan, I got very confused there for a while :)
Caps are fine, and I can fix the rusthole, there is some repairs in the front that looks ugly, I'm not sure if they buttwelded them, thery might be welded on top of the old material so there is a rust pocket inside. Not sure how to deal with that.
