Rear shock cross member bracket ?

Can anybody tell me what this bracket is for? My car had a muffler hangar bolted to it.

I'm guessing you have a 74?

Well someone added a 74 style exhaust hanger...

That bracket is for an exhaust hanger. :2cents:

Only a 340/360 car would have two.

Are they both the same or is there a left and right? Any pictures of how they should be installed would be great!

My car was a '72 with a 340. It is below the shock mount on the passenger side only. I think mine is all original as everything else has been that way. Here is a picture
