'70 Cuda grille repoduction
« on: February 25, 2016 - 12:07:16 PM »
I am considering replacing my grille and see there are several reproductions out there.

Any recommendations as far as fit and quality?
I see Sherman has one complete with trim, whereas the GOODMARK is a 1-piece?

Also you could include any suggested threads, I didn't find much here.

Thanks

I would try roseville too.  I don't know why but I forgot to check with him before I ordered mine.  I got mine from an ebay seller and the quality is excellent.  It came complete.  I paid $500 shipped last year.  It is now 525.  Here is the ebay item# eBay item number:

The BE&A grille is unsurpassed.  It is factory correct and perfect in every way.  Those other grilles just don't fit well, the trim sucks, etc...

I'm pretty sure they have gone out of business :dunno:

Roseville is now the best connection to get these grills (same manufacture)

Mike announced last year he was not going to produce any more products...so he's most likely just getting rid of stock.

I would still rather deal with David at Roseville, then with BE&A :2cents:

I take it that the grille still will need to be painted Argent?  It will arrive as a smooth gray finish?  The BE/A website for the complete kit states it is "painted and detailed."  The one on Ebay is not painted, am I correct?

I got mine from my local Dodge dealer parts counter.  My guess is Dave at Roseville's is the same.  it is a very nice, painted unit.  i just had to purchase the Gran Coupe trim seperately  :hyper:   :

Painted/Not Painted - I guess you can get them both ways.  Check the part numbers, and ask.

He has both argent and AAR black (or did). No painting, they are ready to install with the correct color and texture.  Again I will say it is absolutely perfect. I have two original grilles and the buckets interchange and you cannot tell which one is the repro.

I bought mine from Dave at Roseville. (AAR black) It ended up being from BE&A. I haven't installed it yet but it does appear perfect!   :droolingbounce:

Seriously!

Do you really believe there is more than one licensed Mopar Cuda grille reproduction company running?
Not a chance!

It's all being distributed out of one manufacturer in Taiwan.
