There's brackets on the inside of the frame rails. If you have one on each side you need two short cables, if you have a double bracket on the driver's side then you need one long/one short set-up...
I've taught you everything you know.....but I haven't taught you everything I know !

Got another question for you Alan. Why the two different scenarios on the cables/brackets, one versus two? I have seen both, just never thought as to WHY?

As years went by, they looked for improvements, so maybe the two short cables work better  :dunno:

Probably two cables gives a more uniform pull.

From what I recall, the offset to one side parking cable system was 1970.
Then in 1971, they switched to equal short length cable system.

Depending on which system you use you will need to use the same parking brake pedal set up and front cable as well that correspondes. 70 pedal and front cable is different that 71 up. As mentioned 70 is one long and one short rear cable. 71 up are both short rear ones with and intermedaite cable.  Cuda and Challenger also have different length intermediate cables.
