Lots of little things wrong I am spotting, like the black on the grille was painted wrong.  A number of things under the hood, most notably a wrong year wiper motor. Easily corrected I know, but makes you wonder if the car was restored by a second rate shop?
I also see several "mistakes"

Hello all!  This is my first post, but I do have some info on this car.  It was at a local auction last weekend in Palm Springs  Beautiful car in person but a no sell at 78k.

Side note: I'm in the process of purchasing a  '70 Hemi orange 340 vert and this forum looks to be a great place to discuss.

Real money is what I still question.
My '71 V code Challenger which is a 4 speed, 4:10 Dana, and has won trophies in almost all shows its been in including several best Mopar, and most importantly on the cover and featured in the cuda-Challenger 2016 calendar, :grinyes: had got very little attention in the last year where I've had it advertised on several sites including here and carsonline.  The price I've advertised isn't much higher that what this car is bid to now.
I suspect shill bidding.  :2cents:

You are correct if he pulls it off before auction ends.  If it is not pulled and those are not real bids the seller will still have to pay hefty Ebay fees.

$74,600.   Not sure what is real or not.  Seems like good money. Less than the auction here a few weeks back for that exact car at a 78,000 no sale.

Most Auction now charges 10% sellers fee. Ebay fees are less so it likely works out to be about the same. I think the seller did pretty well as the car did not have its original engine.  Its nice to see Mopars holding their value.

I agree on the auction fees, but you need to include the registration/entry fee, shipping the car around, etc.  I would bet the seller thought he could have done better getting more international exposure on Ebay, and maybe wished he would have taken the auction bid.

The auction fees here at McCormick's are 5% plus $300-400 entry fee.  I think he (or she) was hoping for much more dollars on e-bay.  There were a lot of bids though on the e-bay auction. I wonder why it was a non-reserve?

what would this seller have had to do to the car to have it break into the 6 figure selling price? The car should have had the original block, correct wiper motor, and lower mileage but what else? My engine is the original with 1/2 the mileage and correct wiper motor, looking to avoid any mistakes this guy made. I can tell you one thing, I would never sell on eBay as No Reserve, I think that is just nuts, I think the listing mentioned something about the car being part of a private collection, maybe the owner just wanted to clean out some of his rides.
