Thoughts on this AAR
« on: March 07, 2016 - 08:47:08 AM »
http://www.legendarymotorcar.com/inventory/1970-plymouth-cuda-3406pack-aar-1475.aspx

This was just emailed to me since I am on their newsletter.

Seems cheap even for a non-numbers car. What do the experts think?

I have not seen the car up close and would chose a T/A over an AAR.

At first I thought it was cheap as well, but after reviewing the pictures, I think it's realistically priced.
LMC has had some really poor quality TA/AAR's for sale lately, but priced to sell. I think this fits that category.  :2cents:

I'd rather spend more money and buy mine.....that is if I didn't already own it :banghead:

I Agree about the quality of the T/A. I love the looks of that white one but I have heard from several people that it needs freshening. The red one was nicer but auto... Iw onder if these are cars they bought in Canada and realise they can sell cheap in USD now.

Funny I just replied to this thread, then went to work.....phone rang and it was LMC asking about my AAR...seems they have a couple of people looking to buy right now. I've sold cars to LMC in the past, great guys to work with, but their margins are pretty high so they would need to low ball me pretty hard to make what they want.....

I'll give you a winning roll up the rim tab for a Coffee....fair trade? that's as good as currency in Canada.

I like LMC and my uncle loved buying a car from them. The tour of the shop was easily a highlight of my car season. I will never be able to afford them though lol.

Well Alan

You know they have to really low ball you to keep the lights on and the showroom nice and clean.

Oh and the top dogs paid well.

I have noticed a number of these seemingly out of place posts by members with less than 10 total posts. My spidey-sense tells me something is not right here. I wouldn't be surprised if these posts were actually the work of a new wave of smart spammers or phishers who are making an effort to assimilate into the site before doing their dirty work.

Here is another fine example posted by "waskier" in the "newbie" section:

Two!?   Not numbers matching and heavily restored, but, it is definitely a beautiful car.   A little tlc, carpet, hydraulics, pneumatics, wires,  I'll feel much better.

"hydraulics?" "pneumatics?" WTF? Are we talking hopping low-riders here/ or a 70 Barracuda 'vert as this person claims to own? Spidey-sense says something is off here.
