Here are the exact bumpers I used.http://www.ebay.com/itm/70-71-72-Cuda-Barracuda-Rear-Bumper-Guards-Bumperettes-NEW-PAIR-/151976323498?hash=item23627ea9aa:g:y7MAAOSw14xWOkkt&vxp=mtrGood luck, and be exact as it just barely covers the old hole......Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Omn a 70-71 Cuda originally the bumperette had a plastic filler behind it that extended into the hole in the valance..... And just like the Challenger the early bumper brackets mount the bumper much closer to the body... Front and rear..On both Challenger & Cuda the rear valance cutout for the bumper guards is the same from 70-74, mounting brackets changed, the outer skin did not....
The license plate brackets were changed so the plate wouldn't be so far under the bumper I believe.
Yeah, they added a bracket where there wasn't one originally, but the skin didn't change and more importantly the area around the bumper guards did' change....
Just have to take the license plate bracket off and install plastic inserts in the valance holes to screw the license plate to.
To add to this. Even though they added an extra bracket. The existing (mine is a 74) still has early style plate mounting holes punched in the valance. Just remove spot welds and you are good to go.Mike
