Sharing: Tinted Bedliner Interior Coating
« on: March 16, 2016 - 10:28:33 PM »
I was able to wrap up the interior sheet metal today for my Barracuda. I wanted to have a color matched interior/trunk but I wanted the trunk to be something that could also be used. Ice chests, chairs, strollers, parts, whatever rolling around back there will end up eating up a nice trunk. An additional benefit I see of the bed liner is some noise reduction and thermal insulation as well.

I used a coating by U-POL called Raptor Liner, it's tinted with 10% base coat, which is Lemon Twist yellow. It should fully cure in 5-7 days and be tough as nails. So far I am very happy with the results!

That looks fantastic! I wonder if it would stand up to being an undercoat.

I wouldn't doubt it. Actually I plan on buying a black kit for the under carriage  and wheel wells.

Some new sheet metal there was  scuffed and shot with epoxy primer, then coated with single stage base coat yellow. Once cured I red scotch-brited the surface, wiped it down and shot.

I did my full interior including the underside of the roof and the trunk with the black Raptor Liner. Went on real easily and is very durable.
