Agreed again. There was and still is something about the sound, the smell (especially the unburned fuel) and attitude of these street beasts. What is funny is trying to explain that to a Prius owner. :banghead:

If I knew you I may have lost a little respect for finding out you spent time out of your life trying to explain it to a Prius owner.  :poopoke:

I was caught unaware of the persons affinity for a Prius. After the initial frustration and discovery I quickly abandoned the conversation. Did I salvage some redemption? :dunno:

That's the car from Welderup, very fast and cool (if you like rat rods). I cannot stand a Prius, something un-American about them and worse, unmanly.. just saying

I usually cannot stand the people that drive them...but that probably goes without saying.

Image dished out for the POS

Reality for what it takes to produce their batteries. This reality is swept under the rug because most is mined in the poorest of the 3rd world countries.
Utter devistation of the topography because of the tenfold increase in demand.

Sorry but what was this thread about again?

:wavingflag: I forget where but i read somewhere that with all the plastics, chemicals, by products and battery crap it takes to build just one prius  it puts out more pollutants than driving a stock 63 caddy on leaded gas for 60 years. :2cents:

My question is how the hell do you start the thing?  If you have ever tried to figure it out without the manual you are in for a surprise.  Also what happens when the batteries go bad, what do they cost to replace? I'm betting you will lose all that money you saved on gas for new ones.

Never mind about start the thing...I got stuck with one as a rental once, wasn't happy but it was the only vehicle they had at the time & it was 2AM & I had to be in a plant at 8 AM... So anyway the guy that brings it to customer pick up hops out, I load my crap & take off, luckily the hotel was only six miles away cause when I got there I discovered I didn't have a key... How do I turn it off & lock it?   If I got it locked how would I open it? If I can open it & start it without a key what keeps someone else from driving off in it"?  I wound up driving back to the airport & exchanging it....  Turns out the car was supposed to turn itself off when I drove off without the key which was in the car jockeys pocket.... Anyway never again will I get stuck with one of those POS...
