Hot Rod Power Tour - Kissimmee
« on: June 13, 2005 - 07:39:42 AM »
Here's the Mopar pics I took at Kissimmee at the 2005 Hot Rod Power tour.  It was a rainy day, but there were approximately 5,000 vehicles there.  3,000 of which made the Long Haul from Milwaukee to Kissimmee!  For me, the main attraction was knowing these cars were driven hundreds of miles to get here.  My guess is about 10% of the vehicles were Mopars. Most of the cars pictured made the entire trip.  Notice all the different states on the license plates.

I tried to limit the picture size for dialup.

Is it me, or is that an SE rear window on this "T/A"?  Interesting if it is w/o the vinyl top.  Never seen that before:

Doubt it is a T/A.  Many of these cars were not original (notice this one even has a blower) so I guess it's T/A decals on an SE.

W   W I was driving north on I65 last wednesday on the way to do some work in Decatur, Al (otherwise i'd have been in Birmingham to check the rides out) and i noticed maybe a dozen vehicles between Birmingham and Decatur but nary a MOPAR although some nasty t-storms could'nt have made the soft toppers happy. Thanks for those pics wrencher  :dogpile:

As soon as I turned off I-4 into Kissimmee, I noticed the Hot Rod Tour cars.  They were everywhere!!  It was neat to pull up at each traffice light and have a muscle car sitting next to you.  Such a huge number of nice older cars that it felt like a time warp.  To see these cars driving up and down the road, not just parked, was awesome!

Yeah, I loved how clean the engine compartment was.  Notice the custom heater hoses that run under the shaker.  Very nice!
