Two Door Charger in the works? Is this old news?
« on: June 13, 2005 - 11:10:00 AM »
I stumbed across this.  Is this old news?  The author seems to have good connections.  The jist of the post says the two-door model will be produced if the 4-door sales are good.  So I guess this means you have to by a 4-door now to get a 2-door in the future.  Go figure!!   :gripe:

I think that's just a rumor, probably started online by DC themselves.  After all the hate mail, they are probably getting worried about sales numbers and decided to start rumors all over the internet that if four door sales are good they will make a two door.  Just my opinion though.   :dontknow:

Seems to me it would be the other way around.  If sales were bad that then they would want to build a two door.   :dontknow:

The GM site seems to have a lot of good inside connections.  They have had breaking info in the past on other brands before it was public news.  I was trying to keep tab on the new Camaro rumor and was surfing the GM site looking for information.  Lots of rumors out there now, but this one seems to be legit.

You show me a 2 door on a showroom floor and I'll show you my open garage door, but you can bet the house it will be upper 30's- low 40's K. But I'll have my new 2 door 6.0 hemi Charger, but honestly I'd rather have a 68 Hemi R/T anyday ! Well, I can dream can't I?

Hmm, now if only they got rid of that Magnum grille and actually made something that resembled the hideaway headlights tucked within a '68 or '69 style grille. ::)
