Thank you every one. The BH  car is an L code car  price of the car Australian is  $ 54.000 dollars  matching numbers engine  . The  BS  car has the matching number engine and transmission ,and just  $ 2000 more in price . Again I am asking for my Chevy friend who has no idea about mopars . To date he tells me he likes  the lime light FJ5 car . P.s he does not care about makeing money ,But if he was to sell he would not want to lose to much if you know what I mean .I will ask him to put up some pics ,Thank you again  :aussie:

I would go with the BS cuda. It will keep it's value over time more then the barracuda. I bought a BH 4 years ago and wish I had waited for a BS to come up. Also, a 340 is nothing to frown at. I prefer a 340 to a 383 personnaly.
Good luck !

I looked for a Challenger for 2 years and bought a 318 car and put in a 340. I can't tell you how many guys see the vin and say it is just a 318 car (GRRRR),. I will never get close to what I put into it. Someone once told me that even when times are tough, the people who have money will always pay (so they keep their value) for a special car. A Cuda is a bit more special than a Barracuda. When times are tough, the clone cars drop in value, but the special cars hold more value. I would buy the Cuda as it is a bit more special. Barracudas were the classy cudas, buyers want the sport Cudas. Having a small block, it may beat the big block and handle a lot better.  Just my opinion. Good luck

L-code makes this an easy decision, if both cars truly are equal condition the BS car is the one for sure.

First off, the 383 is the least desirable of all 1970-71 Mopar Big Blocks.
Second, in the BS model the 383 was the base engine and the 340 was an option so a lot less of them came with the 340.

You never mentioned whether or not the BH car was an "N" code or just an "L" code...another huge difference.

Curious what everyones opinion is on the value of a number matching (engine, trans, body numbers) BH N Code car with all the date coded carb, m/c, distributor, alternator, starter, distributor, etc. 100% oem build versus a BS 383/340 car the same and all original, Non N96 car optioned car :clueless:

Forget about all the other stuff and take each car for a drive.

My money would be on the 340 car standing well above the heavier nose of the 383 car. If they are both stock and equally put together, the 340 will be more responsive, better handling and better driving car.

You know what they say - there is no replacement for displacement.

I lovingly say this about the 440.... :woohoo:
1970 Cuda Clone 440 4 speed - sublime green
1970 Cuda 383 4 speed - yellow - SOLD

comes down to whether you are buying a car as an investment or to enjoy. If it is to enjoy, buy the best car overall and don't worry about the BS or BH.
