For you who are running 275/60.  What do you use for the front. When I bought my car it had 215/70/15.  Should I keep them or change and why?   I need new tires.

on back, Micky Thompson ET Streets, 275/50/15., on 8 by 15 Weld Prostars.  10 inch of tread on ground. about 11 inch section width,
and 26 inch dia

Front, Bridgestone, Ecopia low rolling resistence tires on 6 x 14 Prostars, about 25 inch dia,195/65-15.
These are also 10lb lighter each than my previous front tire. with these, wilwood brakes,
and the Welds, I shed 40 lbs off each front wheel.

You can get 245s on the front but 235s will work as well.

Sometimes under extreme cornering you can rub the 245s.

Using 225-70-16 on a 7inch rim on the front to keep the diameter close to the back.

If your that serious about drag racing you'd be better off with a lighter car than an E body.....    :2cents:

Mike, what do you want the car to do? Typically, taller and thinner tires are what drag racers and street racer want to use. Lower and wider tires provide a more stable footprint for better cornering ability and is more comfortable for use on the street.

It is a street car only 500HP, 355 gears and it's a 4 speed.

If you can find them go with the 235's or 245's.

If predominately street car, I'd go with a 235/60 and 275/60 combo. Produces a mild rake, but puts a fair amount of rubber in all four corners so you don't have to slow to a crawl for every street corner you go 'round. 235s are easy to find in multiple makes and are not awful expensive either. Most will be an S or T speed rating, so they are hugely grippy, but they are adequate for street purposes.

For "street and HWY" crusing, I run BFG T/A 275-60-15 rear, and have recently stepped up a bit taller/wider for the front away from 245-60-15... now running 255-60-15 t/As... all on 15x8 mini-light rims... front/rear.   I like the slightly taller fronts so to give me a fraction(~1/4") more header clearance, as well as a slightly improved ride over any undesirable rough roads.... my suspension is set-up very stiff.. for handling purposes (AX/HSAX/HPDE)... and it handles/drives/rides fantastic!... especially on the highway as most enjoyable to "cruise"!
Autocross/road racers go in deeper... and come out harder!
