If you're using that T-shaped plug for the radio's power and the radio's dial light, then the dial won't light up if the dimmer switch is bad.  The dimmer controls the lights over the instrument panel and the radio dial and the auto shift selector on the center console if you have one.  I'm still thinking the orange wire that feeds the instrument lights is not plugged into the plug (that I mentioned in the previous post).

Have you found the plug over the radio area with all the orange wires going into it and coming out of it?

Is there 12v there?  (One end of meter into one of the three holes in the plug; the other end of the meter to bare metal on the dash frame or any ground)

Is the orange wire that goes up to the instrument lights connected tightly?

Do you have a console with an automatic? Is the light on that working when you turn the lights on?

I have no voltage from any of the plugs, my light won't turn on when I turn the switch on now, and what orange wires?

and what orange wires?
:banghead:
I know you're getting frustrated, but have you read my posts? All the interior lights that go on with the headlights (instrument lights, radio dial, shift selector on the console) are on orange wires and they all meet at the 3-hole plug above the radio.

I'm out most of today, so I won't have a lot of time to weigh in, but I think you could run a jumper wire from the ACC (accessory) spade connector on the bottom of the fuse block to the 3-hole plug with all the orange wires.  This would hopefully turn on the dash lights when the ignition is on.  Are you sure the fuse for the instrument lights in good?

I just had the same problem,   new fuse no lights, turns out the connection at the fuse had some corrosion and didn't let the voltage thru.   I had cleaned the connection but not good enough.   Re cleaned and they now work.

Put the voltmeter to both sides if the fuse and see if you get 12.7 volts at each side.
I had 12v on one side and 8v at the other and they didn't  work.

I still have to get my turn signals working.

Good Luck,
Dan
