Heh I did this awhile ago, there are two contacts closest to the cylindrical cone the bottom one (+) the one above it is (-) and you are off to the races. I think I had a 12.6V lithium battery handy and tested it out, pretty cool. I wouldn't run it too long as you might damage it going one way.

I think you are talking about the motor, I already tested my motor and its fine. I need to test the switch.

Yes,

So I bench tested the motor, its good.

I have power at the firewall. tested with a test light.

I used a test light with the switch connected, and its like there is power on every terminal. But when I turn the switch on nothing happens.

Did you test out the resistor that went with it?

Make sure it's about 1ohms resistence.

Here is also some good info:

i didnt test the resistor but, like i said. I bench tested the motor itself using those instructions and it tested out fine. Ill throw a multi meter on the resistor.

So I tested the resistor and it is right around 1 ohm. Like you said it should be.

I'm really at a loss here, the only thing I'm thinking could be the switch. Does anyone know how to test the swtich?

thanks, that might help. If I wire the motor directly to the switch and it doesnt  work I know my switch is bad
