Does anyone have pictures of louvers mounted on an E-body that has a vinyl top?

Finally got my rear window louvers installed on car. Do these look right? I can�t tell about the alignment because my car has the SE plug in it. This will be removed later when top is replaced and car is painted.

My concern is the way they hang over the chrome trim at the corners. 1st thought is just move them up higher on window, but if I do this, the alignment slots for the hinge posts/clips that go on the bottom will not align right.

I had louvers on another car some 15+ years ago and I don�t remember the louvers hanging over the vinyl trim?

I added both the vinyl top and louvers to this car.� The louvers are original Chrysler ones.� The top was done correctly with factory mouldings.� The louvers basically fit on the car perfectly when the lower corners came right up to the stainless top trim.� I don't think your louvers should be riding on top of that stainless trim, how do they fit when you slide them up??� Does the top fit get all messed up?

Yours look great. Mine are repo louvers, I can slide them up to make the corners just touch the trim.
My problem is if I do this, I won't be able to install and use the hood pin & clip that goes on bottom. You can see this in my 2nd pic.

The fact I have the SE plug in there makes it difficult to see where the normal bottom should be.

By any chance, do you have a close-up pic of the bottom where the louver slides into the hold down pin?

Need to do a post on here on story of the car and where it is at.

I have put a couple sets of these on cars, including a Challenger. I couldn't tell from your picture, is there a kind of flat area on the SE cars where the pin would go through?? I don't have any other pictures, but I can grab some tomorrow if you need them. My rule of thumb has been fit them as good as possible to elminate gaps and have them end right at top stainless. The pins are the last thing I do. Get it positioned, mount it. Lift up and attach pins to louvers. Have a helper lower them down, letting pins determine where your drilling the half in hole for them.

I'll have to reposition them once I remove the SE plug and install the normal window. Your tip about just touching the trim makes senses.
