A/C compressor mounting
« on: March 27, 2016 - 02:24:48 PM »
Does anyone have a photo or two of how to mount the compressor for a 71 cuda/383? Specifically, I am looking for pictures of the rear mount support rod that goes back to the intake bolt and how it looks when its in the car.

I am also wondering how the negative battery cable mounts to the engine when you have a/c.

Thanks,

This is my 70 Gr Cpe 383. Can't be much different than a 71 383
I took pictures of accessories when I removed the heads.
I didn't remove the compressor only rear brace
the  neg.  bat cable mounts to the side of compressor.
Rear bracket pic is not very good but it was for my reference.

This is a much clearer pic of rear mounting bracket.

Thanks so much AARuFAST ! Those pictures are a great help. The battery cable was bugging me since I painted the engine without a cable bolted on for the overspray look. Your 70 brackets look exactly like mine, so I am set. Thanks again.
