1970 Challenger, getting wipers to stop in park position

need some advice on how to get my wipers to stop in the park position - now they stop wherever you shut them off at and don't go into the park position.  It's on a 1970 Challenger R/T - don't know if that makes a difference.  They are 2 speed wipers and work fine other than that.  Very much appreciate all your help and input.  Thanks very much - appreciate your time,  Mick

Search around here, there is a whole thread on wipers. it has to do with a contact. I know the 3 spd can be repaired fairly easy, not sure about the 2 spd.

thanks for the reply - I had searched but couldn't find anything on that specifically but will continue to read.  I didn't see anything about contacts but will include that in my search this time.  I appreciate your help.  Thanks. Mick

But as I recall, with the 2 speed generally you need to replace it if it doesn't test out. I just did one of these on a 76 Dodge 3tn truck (same wiper motor as you have) and ended up replacing it (Schucks).

Very welcome and I hope you get it sorted. As I recall, the "park" feature of the motor on the 2 spd is hard to get to whereas on the 3 spd there is a cover plate that can be removed. Like I said, I tried to repair the one on my big truck but in the end it was easier to get another one.

Does the motor have two speeds and won't park or does it have one speed and won't park?  If it's one speed and doesn't park, only where you shut it off at, check ground to your switch.

it's a 2 speed and won't park - I'll check the ground and do research through the links from 70chall440 as well.  I certainly appreciate the help.  Thanks again....  Mick
