Wide Band Air Fuel Gauge
« on: April 03, 2016 - 12:08:02 AM »
Who is running a AF gauge in their car? Any thoughts on what works best? I want to install one and have been looking at the different brands on line. I see there is one that you can hook up and run it through your smart phone if you don't want to have the gauge in your car.

Ensure whatever you get has some form of logging feature. Only having a live wideband is not all that useful for conditions outside of idle and cruise.  :2cents:

I have an autometer, works ok but if I had to do it again I'd give this one some serious thought.

I ordered this today - $542.99 CDN. Not cheap. But should help me dial in the new motor to real driving conditions  :2thumbs:

I have the innovative single a/f gauge. I only use it for live readings at this point. I could use a logger to record and play things back but nothing seems to work with a Mac computer. I haven't really tried though yet

You can get a builder's license of Windows and run that platform on Mac's "Boot Camp" operation.

I do have Windows on my Mac for those occasions a program is not available.

I don't data log mine, I just hit it in 3rd and 4th gears and take a quick reading between sawing on the wheel to keep it straight. It works for me and mine is an 11 second car. I mounted the gauge to a screw that retains the light bar over the instruments, not far to take your eyes off the road.

I use an innovate AFR gauge, but not the one Brad posted. Been in use for a couple years so far, no complaints.

Yes I live in Calgary. But I also have a place in Quebec which is a lot lower elevation so rejetting will be necessary when I transport the car either direction. We have an eight mile track in Quebec so I will be having some fun there.

Yeah trying to figure out where to mount will be the question. I will try the data logging feature. Seems a lot of people have had success with this.

:wavingflag: I was thinking of getting a single and installing it in my h-pipe. Would that be feasible or too far back?
