1970 Charger roof sheet metal
« on: April 10, 2016 - 10:32:55 AM »
I know it's not an e body but you folks in here seem to be well versed in all things Mopar. Tried a different post at the B bodies only site last month and got crickets.

Helping a friend with his rusty 70 Charger. Anyone know a source or have ideas on rear roof sheet metal for these cars? I can't find anything but I got to figure out how to replace or repair the area where the rear pillars wrap around and cut back to the rear window. It's badly rusted with gaping holes. The whole roof is rusty so I cringe at the thought of trying to section in new metal to thinner rusted metal. Not sure that any of the original roof maintains its original thickness.

I've seen regular b body roof sections but never Charger.

AMD lists a roof for 68-70 Charger... But, the area your describing is part of the quarter panel flying buttress, AMD lists full quarters which include the flying buttress but I recall seeing repair panels that filled from the window out to the hard break line of the roof....  Don't recall who made them...

Ok, no idea of the quality but here ya go...

That's very helpful. Thanks a bunch. I didn't know AMD offered anything for Charger roof areas so I'll look at their stuff too. Lots more options now than I had this morning.

I knew I was right to ask you guys. Thanks for coming through. This should do the trick. I guess both these companies offer the sail panels. Price is good too!
