74 Challenger with a 6.1L and the NAG1. It's come a long ways since I got it. Paint and body is done except for the bottom side. MagnumForce front end is in. Now waiting on money for harnesses, windows, vintage air, etc.

Cool! Do you have a build thread somewhere? Are you gonna use the NAG1 shifter? I'm gonna figure out a way to use my stock shifter. Got another thread about that. I got Vinatge air also, just gotta figure out how to run the long compressor hoses.

No build thread anywhere. Just been puttering around on it for a while. Yeah, I'll be using the NAG1 shifter. Don't know yet if I'll be using the stock center console or if I'll swap in something newer to match the '11 Challenger seats.

Went ahead and pulled the tranny out of the car tonight. Everything swapped over without a hitch. Was pretty easy overall. Gotta wait until next week to put it back in. Waiting on ARP flexplate bolts.

Great, did you re-use the metal gasket for the bellhousing? I was told they can be used again if not scratched up.

Yeah, I re-used it. Didn't see any issues with it, so re-used it.

So, FYI, don't forget about the plate that goes between the engine and transmission. Can't just flip it over. I'm going to see if I can make one from a 545RFE work that I had laying around. It has the starter on the correct side, but the bottom holes don't line up.

Right, I didn't think of that, when I tried my bellhousing and starter, I didn't use a plate. I guess it's needed when the converter is mounted. Maybe I can modify mine somehow, or make a new one. Need a cover for the bottom part also, the part that the stock oilpan covers.
