Side mirror removal

I have non-power side mirrors. To remove, do I need to pull the interior door panel?

No, just the two screws that can be seen.

What about the cable attached to the backside of the mirror?

You will need to undo the remote control bezel then remove the door panel. The cable is clipped up inside the door to keep it clear of the window mechanism. Unclip that and it should all just pull out from the outside.

Sorry, I had a brain fart when you said non power mirrors. I forgot about the cable. Yes you do need to remove the drivers side panel.

Since there was no such thing as a power mirror in 73 I would have assumed he has the non-remote mirror which doesn't have a cable, just the two screws... So I don't really consider your post a brain fart or ever cerebral flatulence, more like a poorly worded question...  :2cents:

I will follow that logic. As I didn't post the reply but did however think the same...
