I got a '72 Challenger in a little less finished body than yours. It had a recent paint job over many bad habits which were bubbling to the surface. A bondo delight if you will. Anyway the car was a rolling body only with a engine and tranny stuck in place (not even bolted in place) and no other parts. I stripped it back to metal and repaired and upgraded the frame to accept a lot of horsepower. But getting to your dilemma that is similar is I have no idea where the original parts went other than experience. memory (which is no sure thing) and drawings despite the parts deficit. My solution was to buy a complete as possible rust bucket as a source and reference. You might consider it as I found one in Michigan for $1500. I now frequently refer to it and clean up the parts I am salvaging taking them from where they go as a reference.
