Master Cylinder Help
« on: April 15, 2016 - 11:00:16 PM »
Hello, Does anyone know if a Bendix casting # 2230854 master cylinder will work on a 71 Barracuda Gran Cpe with Power disc front and drum rear, Looks the same as a 3461187 which came on 71 Cudas / Challengers. I bought one on EBAY and its nice I would like to use it on my Gran Cpe. If possible. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

72 Cuda, owned 25 years. 496, with ported Stage VI heads, .625 in solid roller, 254/258 at .050, 3500 stall, 3.91 rear. 850 Holley DP, Reverse manual valve body.

1999 Trans Am, LS1, heads, cam, headers, stall, etc! Love to surprise the rice rockets with this one. They seem so confident, then it's "what the heck just happened?"

It must look like this one then?  If so, looks like it will fit.  This one is a new Raybestos unit for power front disc.

Save yourself some time and don't buy the Raybestos MC's, call Dave at Roseville and get the correct one which will work the first time.

Anyone want a brand new Raybestos MC paperweight?  :bricks1:

:iagree: I have been through a number of these M/C's - never again. I'd personally stay away from Centric 1970 only style M/C too as I believe they are Raybestos rebranded.  71-74 cores can still be bought at Napa/oreily etc.  Good luck

I had one on my 71 cuda - still have it in my office.    I pulled it off only because I wanted to get a stronger spring to hold the cap on.
