Sorry I missed that. Well then, I would very closely at what is controlling the injectors. If there is a MAP, configuration or wiring issue the injectors are not being allowed to work, thus not starting the car. my  :2cents:

Is it possible to measure the voltage on the injectors? I know its a short spike, but does a voltmeter read anything?

Get a noid light kit. Very cheap and then you can watch the injector pulse.
Its just a little 340 with a miss

If your still having issues I'll give you a run down list.
1= check all cly for fire at the plug.
2= check compression while you got the plug out.
3= check fuel pressure and flow/ gph. Also make sure what fuel pressure it takes to open your injectors.
4= check to see if injectors are triggering. This can be done with the noid light.
If it still does not start then I don't know what to say. This has never failed me. If a crank sensor is out you would not have fire. If cam timing was off then no compression. And so on and so on. People over think this stuff to often. Treat it like an old motor then when you see one thing is not right above read into that.

1= check all cly for fire at the plug.  The car runs on starting fluid so ignition is fine
2= check compression while you got the plug out. , again, it WILL fire and run, just no fuel
3= check fuel pressure and flow/ gph. Also make sure what fuel pressure it takes to open your injectors. Fuel pressure is about 60psi, there is a gauge on the regulator
4= check to see if injectors are triggering. This can be done with the noid light. I know they trigger in "test mode" you can hear them fire and you can test each one individually. However I dont know that they are triggering when cranking.

Give me the year the computer system is out of and make and model and I'll do some research. Sounds like there maybe something simple like getting the computer to read the aftermarket stuff.

Its a megasquirt MS3X, its not a factory computer

Did you make sure it is seeing RPM and crank/cam signal when cranking?  Your trigger angle and whatnot is correct?  What about timing and dwell, especially for CRANKING?  There are two unique  parameters for those that function only in cranking.  Cranking IAC pulsewidth too low?  What is your cranking RPM set at?  It should be a few hundred RPM.  Too low and it goes to "run" mode when cranking and ignores any cranking parameters including timing and fuel.  Too high and it never goes out of crank at idle.

If all of that is ok, it sounds like you simply need to play around with the cranking fuel tables since everything is functioning as it should.  Once you get close, you can tell if you are commanding too much fuel if you have to hold the throttle open to fire.  If holding it open makes it harder to start, you're lean.

Instead of all us guessing I just read up I this system and may be best if you just call them and ask the tech department about you issue. No shame in doing this.

It has been a few years since I installed my FAST system.  But if I remember correctly there is a safe mode on the ECU that wont allow the injectors to fire unless everything is programed correctly.  Is you ECU programmable?

All my notes are at home, so once I get there I will check to see exactly what was needed.

Also, you say it runs on starting fluid, have you tried to pour some fuel in to see if it will  run longer once started?

I am sorry you are having these problems....my no start issues with the FAST system turned out to be a software issue when I updated the system. turned out to be an easy fix once we figured it out....and it only took three week.  :bricks1:
