Drag link orientation
« on: April 16, 2016 - 09:24:29 PM »
I'm having fitment issues with a new oilpan, it touches the drag link. I read on another site that the problem is due to the drag link on backwards. Sure enough if I flipped mine it would solve my issue. Which way is it suppose to go or does it matter ?

I would think that the center link (drag link) would have tapered holes for the pittman and idler arm and would only fit one way.

While it's true it has tapered holes you can swap it end for end & that would cause the center portion to move forward about 1/2" since when installed correctly it jogs rearward in the center....

It should "jog" rearward if installed correctly :2cents:
