Instrument panel upgrade

Im looking to upgrade my cluster gauges. My fuel and amp gauges are failing so I want to upgrade to modern gauges. Any ideas out there?

The 2 5/8 gauges will fit in the small holes of the non ralley cluster with out any mods. Just take the originals out from behind the bezel. They sit flush with the bezel on the outside so they dont recess (Just fyi) The issue I've found with the speedo is how big it is. You will have to modify it somehow to fit a 4.5 inch or even a 5 inch gauge in that hole.

from a Dakota Digital email that I just got this morning:
 
We have released a new VHX application this week, fitting the 1970-74 Dodge Challenger and Plymouth ‘Cuda with the Rallye dash.
This 6-gauge system includes a new, fully-machined rear gauge housing, attaching directly to the stock metal dash framework, then overlaid by the stock bezel.
Our normal color schemes of Silver Alloy/Black Alloy face styles while Red, White or Blue backlight options exist.
 
Limited pre-production quantities are currently on hand, with normal production quantities available mid-late July.
The VHX-70D-CLG system sells for $995, including new sending units for oil pressure, water temperature and speed.

The Dakota looks like a rallye only setup.
Didn't see anything for standard gage

I am going to try the autometer gauges. I have a other cluster bezel laying around. The 4_2-5/8 gauges & 5" speedmeter. I will post upgrades of my progress. Thanks for the info.

I found that a bmw fuel pump gasket fits perfectly around the 5" speedometer. This prevents the speedometer from sitting back in the hole. It sits flush on the bezel. Its a tight fit but it works.

is that a standard 5 inch gauge in the speedo hole? Does it just sit in there?

Very nice install, etc.  My compliments to you!

I have thoughts of re-doing the entire dash... SPEEDO, TACH, FUEL LEVEL, VOLTS, OIL PRESSURE, WATER TEMP, ENGINE OIL TEMP, TRANS TEMP (AUTOMATIC TRANS), AIR/FUEL METER (DUAL - LH, RH).... not immediate need, but would like this layout all in-dash.   Consideration of driver's side roof pillar mounts are an idea for some of the gauges.

I may have a picture somewhere, I suppose you can call it fabricated, but it's remarkably simple little piece. I'll try to find a picture of it.
