Holley's new Hydramat ?
« on: April 21, 2016 - 07:04:06 PM »
Don't know what to think? Cool in one respect but how long will it last? Will it plug up or break down filling up my carb? Or I wonder if it will make the electric pump work harder, shortening it's life? Whats your thoughts?

This has been discussed in great lengths on another forum. A lot of unknowns as you mentioned and also the cost aspect of it. All in all, no difinitive conclusions were made. No one was up to being the guinea pig for it.

They should do some promotional hand outs and follow them for real world data.
Heck give it to the Roadkill guys.
Removing the warning labels one at a time.
Nature will take care of the rest.

this is not unlike newer fuel systems using large area filters like this  i doubt it would break down just give a much larger surfae are to pull fuel into the pump which should make the pump work less hard being less restrictive

Sounds good. Reason I'm asking is  I have ordered a new EFI tank from Tanks inc. Mine leaks at the sender and this tank eliminated that possibility.  I might use one of these hydramats in the bottom sump area.  :-\

It does, it's probably enough fuel control as-is.

Yes it does. Tracking says it will be here on Monday. I'll have a look then.

Well I thought I would try this out. I bought part # 16-102  It came in today ( ordered it locally) but didn't get time to go pick it up.
