1970 Cuda 440 4 speed
« on: April 23, 2016 - 07:00:04 PM »

Well guys it's time that I part with one of my Cuda's. I have it up for sale on craigslist and ebay right now. If anyone wants to come take a look I will be more than glad to show the car. The Cuda has come quite away from where I found it and many parts are brand spanking new. Selling it for $42,500 OBO.

This is an actual Cuda and not a clone. This one started life as a 383 4 barrel car with a 4 speed and console to boot. The 4 speed is still original to the car but the 440 is an actual HP block with a "E" stamping which means its a 1969 year motor which could be found in a 1970 model year Cuda. I have put quite a bit of work to put this car back to stock including refreshing the interior with a new ACC carpet, new seats with the frames powder coated both front and back, new customized Cuda floor mats, new rear package tray, billstein shocks all around, new front disc brakes, new rebuilt power steering gear box, new rebuilt power steering pump, new alternator, new front Weld rims with 245/60/15's, new Holley Avenger 770 carb tuned for the 440, new water pump, new radiator built to 3 Row (never overheats), new clutch fan, new shroud, new overflow, new electronic ignition and distributor, new wires, and just recently changed the oil. The front of the car just got a new grille and lower valance along with new turn indicator lenses. The rear end is a Suregrip 3.23 gears which can still easily spin the tires and won't drive you crazy on the freeway. This one is ready to enjoy for the summer.

The Cuda has had a paint job done in the last year and touch ups in the last month. It's a pretty good paint job but I would not call it a show car by any means. This is what I call a very good driver quality Cuda. One which you could enjoy right away and restore at your leisure. I have taken this Cuda to car shows and had plenty of compliments on it. The only piece of metal replaced on the Cuda is the trunk pan, otherwise there is no undercarriage rot at all. The rear marker lights were removed for a clean look before I bought the car. I have the VIN on the dash and it has the original data plate on the fender but I do not have the broadcast sheet. What I would suggest is that if you are serious about buying the Cuda then come down and take a look at it. There is much more to this Cuda than what I am describing so I would encourage folks to come take a look before buying.

I have the original AM radio that came with this car and it will go with the car. One additional item I will add here for CC.com folks is that the car has Lojack that will go with the car. This is the newer version that is not tied to the ignition system so it will be harder to detect.

I will work with domestic and foreign buyers and will work with you to get the car shipped the right way.  I am asking $42,500 OBO.
