Carlisle tent identification **UPDATE**
« on: June 15, 2005 - 03:31:13 PM »
For the members that were there last year, I believe the tent will be close to where it was last year.  But for the new members, how will they know where the tent is and identify that it is the cuda-challenger.com tent??  We have talked about a banner, anyone got something going??  I was thinking a couple high quality helium balloons . . .On a 50 foot string or something??  3 Hemi orange balloons??  I'll do some checking on that.  Any other ideas.

For those members that are going this year, cc.com has a tent at the show which is used as a place to relax, get out of the sun, and socailize with the other members!! Hopefully it is located in the e-body area again this year and everyone finds it easily.  If you are driving something other than an e-body, you have the choice to park with the rest of your body style of you can park with the members at the tent.  This is gonna be a great year!!  Lunch will be a 1:00!!

4C,
Just curious how you guys knew which tent was ours last year. I got there when the gates opened(before you sleepy heads), and the infield help there was clueless. That's why I just parked my car with the other 70 Challengers.

Ha,ha,ha...

Let me give some advice then. Getting there early just means you stand around with your hands in your pockets like me. Those workers at the signup area just sit there and smile at you. They don't move a finger until 7AM. Must be union workers

Now about that 1PM lunch... last year I had breakfast at 5, lunch at 9, and I was eating my first dinner with you guys at noon. Yep, I'm a not so little piggy.

You wanna know how we're going to know it's our tent... because we're going to have the most fun while we're there!! :grinyes:

Trust me, 3 years ago, there was only 6 of us that went... we were all total strangers before hand, having only chatted here and talked on the phone.... we got there, had a BLAST and even helped a broken down Charger of a member on here... now, this year, we've quadrupled the size of the group going and it's going to be a memory that surely won't be forgotten ANY time soon! :grinyes:

Last year was great. The tent was nice and cool, and the smoothies were awesome... but nothing beat the company of this family of Mopar enthusiasts!

Why don't we steal the giant inflatable Meguiars wax bottle and put it on the tent roof... they won't do anything to us if its before 7:00am!

Memories, and I just sing "trailer for sale or rent", rent will be fine, thank you, lol,  MEK, we got there and I guess you must have already moved on (last year), we asked one of the "workers" where c-c.c tent was and he was clueless. But he did know we had one because the paper on his clipboard said so, and even told us the #. Wow, look at the # on the stake beside the tent buddy, it a Matching #'s Mopar tent! So we parked, unloaded and had a ball with the rest of ya. That's how you know first which tent is ours, lol.

Yup! :grinyes:

Don't worry MEK... this year, we'll be getting to the hotel earlier, so if we still have any energy left from driving, I'm sure we can head out to the grounds and check out where our tent is....

Actually, scratch that thought.... I'm headed for the pool when we get to the hotel!!

Is the tent anchored down???  We wouldn't want it floating away,  then know one would know where to go.   :-[    j/k  ;D

I was wondering the same thing,  we're going on thurs so hopefully we'll all cruise into the grounds together so one of us might know where to go.

I suggest you do the same MEK so your not sitting on the grounds by yourself.  Maybe you can run down the halls and bang on the doors to wake us up after you eat breakfast.  Preferrably 6 AM?  :dontknow:

Last year was surprising at that you could park close to the tent for some time!! All you have to say on your way in if you are not driving an e-body, is that you are parking at a club tent and direct me towads the e-bodies.   Then look for something that identifies us as cc.com.  We will come up with something here soon!  I'm going to talk with Moper_guy333 and see what we can come up!!  This is gonna be so much fun!   :grinyes:  :grinyes:
