JA5 paint code?
« on: April 26, 2016 - 02:30:07 PM »
So I'm confused as the the correct name of my '73 ' Cuda paint color? I used mymopar.com to decipher my fender tag and it called the paint color dark silver poly. On '73 paint charts I don't see dark silver poly but do see frost silver? I also read that dark silver poly was only offered in '73, but it see that frost silver was offered in multiple years? So to say the least I'm confused, if someone could shed some light on this I would appreciate it. Thanks

JA5 was a 1973 only color for E-bodies. Dodge called it Dark Silver Metallic and Plymouth called it Silver Frost Metallic.

Two names for same color... Doge JA5= Dark Silver Poly  Plymouth JA5= Silver Frost Metallic

dodge http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/dodge/1973/all-models/
Plymouth http://www.automotivetouchup.com/touch-up-paint/plymouth/1973/all-models/

Brother burdar's with clear coat & subdued light appears darker than usual in my mind

this Cuda looks about right for being in sunlight
