How about some pink?
Or Moulin-Rouge to be more exact.
This weeks representative is BS23R0B296096, 1 of only 652 made for the U.S. market, and of those 1 of 368 with an automatic. It is finished in FM3 Moulin-Rouge with V6X black "hockey stick" stripes and a H6X9 black vinyl interior.
This Moulin-Rouge beauty still retains its original numbers matching driveline, build sheet, fender tag and it's lineage is fully documented. Besides it's pedigree, it also has quite an impressive resume to include being used in BF Goodrich tire commercials, the model for the BF Goodrich banner poster, and is a three time Grand National Champion at the World of Wheels car show!
Here is the fender tag to this very accomplished HemiCuda
Did you catch it? There is something that really stands out on the fender tag, and there are a couple of things that are less noticeable. Look again.
Yes, that is it! As beautiful as this car looks, it is a bit of an imposter! Yes it IS an original HemiCuda, but no it IS NOT originally Moulin-Rouge - it was originally EW1 Alpine-White! Additional examination of the fender tag reveals that it was originally an executive lease car (as indicated by the "Q" as the first character of the VON) and as far as HemiCuda's go, it was actually kind of minimally equipped. Although the car now has the Rallye Gauge Package, center console with Slap-Stik shifter, Go-Wing and "hockey-stick" stripes, the fender tag does NOT indicate that those items were original to the car. Despite it being a real HemiCuda it really was a rather "vanilla" looking automatic on the column car when it originally rolled off of the line at Hamtramck versus being a "high-impact" attention grabbing car that most of these HemiCuda's were.
Despite it being somewhat of an imposter, it is nonetheless a show winning HemiCuda and I certainly wouldn't mind being in the pink with this beauty!
