Newb from Down Under
« on: April 27, 2016 - 06:28:54 PM »
Hi all, I have been meaning to join the group for a while now but didn't have too much to show for the restoration. Now it has has begun in earnest and I think I have bitten off more than I can chew,so to speak! Anyway, bodywork has been going on for the past year, currently replacing the floors...

Thanks guys!!

I bought it out of California in 2008 and shipped it down to Australia.
Drove it, raced it, showed it, generally had a lot of fun with it. Then one day in 2012 I scrapped the rear quarter and parked it. I was really pissed with myself!
With work and family commitments I kinda left it and played with my other Mopars.
So in 2013 came the time to fix it and I thought it would good to take the opportunity to restore it ( do it once do it right). It was showing the usual signs of rust and bondo repairs in the floors, plenum, cowl, rear qtrs and under the vinyl roof. So because this was a keeper I stripped and sent it off the sand blasters to see what I've to got to work with.
I gotta say there was more work than I expected, so I started ordering the sheet metal and parts for it.

off to the blasters....
