Carburetor Sale-off!!!
« on: April 27, 2016 - 11:10:45 PM »
Ok I've got 3 carburetors, all three are in good shape.... 2 Edelbrocks and one Holley carb.... the edelbrock's have been sitting in a sealed tuberware box for 2 years so they might need a cleaning or gasket change, but that's it.  I'm confident that you'll be happy with these, if you buy them and there's any MAJOR issues I will buy them back minus shipping to get them to me... pay pal payment is preferred.... I'm pricing these to sell quick as I'm moving half way across the country to Salt Lake City, UT soon and don't want to pack them with me.  I've put them all on my 440 and it started up and ran on all three.  You will have to do some tuning on them to meet your application though.  You also have to pay for shipping.... whatever is cheaper to you, I am near New Orleans so I can ship from here or from Salt Lake City after my move

1. SOLD Edelbrock 750 CFM (P#1411-9296)  Electric Choke, air valve Secondaries ----->$180
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-1411

2. SOLD Edelbrock 750 CFM (P#1407-1203) Manual Choke, air valve Secondaries ----->$180
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/edl-14073.

3. Holley 750 CFM 4150 HP (P#80528-2-3411)  Double Pumper, No Choke, Mechanical Secondaries ----->$400
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/hly-0-80528-1  The Holley is on my car currently and is very new... I will not be able to ship this to you until I get to Salt Lake City around May 27th so I can run the car up and down from the trailer.... I have a bunch of extra tuning parts (jets, 50 cc pump kit, pump parts, nozzles, etc. etc.  I can throw in with this carb for extra $

I have crazier plans now for my car so I won't be needing these for too much longer

Would you take $150 for the electric choke Edl? I'll buy it today if so.

Both edelbrocks have sold! Holley is still for sale but won't be available for a couple weeks for reasons mentioned above

I would say you'd be on the border with it.  Vacuum secondaries are nice, especially if you are making a larger carb work on an application like yours.  I would want to be able to adjust when the secondaries started opening based on the engines demand.  Especially on a street car.  That's just my opinion, you could make anything work with good tuning.

:iagree: I was told by some old timer's that you are better off to jet A bigger carburetor down then to jet A smaller carburetor up. I personally know far more about body, collision work then mechanical!!!  :working:

Heard that.  Cheap deals I guess.  I have all three of these and figured I could sell them for a different carb or possibly put it towards F.I. I'm moving from below sea level to about 4,000ft elevation so trying to figure out a best plan of approach if sticking with a carb.  Thinking about a quick fuel with adjustable mechanical secondaries so I can use all the Holley parts I've saved up for tuning.

FI would be big $$
