    Hey Guys, I know this isn't a Mopar but is there anyone who knows these cars good enough to have a look at some pics and give me a ballpark what it may be worth?

    My Dad's friend has owned it for over 30 years, drives it every summer and keeps it stored inside. He asked me the other day if I would be interested in it.

    Its factory M code 4V Mach 1 with factory 4spd and 3.25:1 trac loc according to the tag on the door.

    I might know a little about this one. How many miles are on that Mach 1?

    The Shifter knob is incorrect, the lower door panels need attention. How are the quarters?

    The interior is in good shape, the undercarriage looks like there is minimal rust but you will never know until sandblasting is done.

    My guess is somewhere around 22-30k based on how much work you will need to do to that one. M code with 4 speed is nice. You can put the correct stripes on now as they reproduce them. Indian fire red paint is ok looking but you will probably look at a repaint somewhat soon.

    Not sure on the miles, interior is great shape and the only rust spot visible is on the lower doors. Fenders and quarters were replaced in '82 when the car was last painted. Other then a small patch in the floor and trunk when it was painted there isn't any rust issues.

    Paint color is Royal Maroon I believe.

    I think I can get it for $10k US so is that a no brainer? I would plan to paint it some day, install a spoiler and new Magnum 500 wheels.  :2thumbs:

    If you can get it for 10k then yeah a total non-brainer as Mach 1 projects start around 8k - 15k depending on the level of rust and how much of the car is there.

    Build plant is F code as well so I can get a full Marti report as well!

    anything under $15k is an absolute steal, seal the deal before he starts advertising it elsewhere. '69 for many folks is the pinnacle year and the fastback is the most sought after. that one looks like it could bring $20-25k all day as is

    Well if I was to ever look at a Mustang , it would be 69 or 70 , I know the suspensions are crap but the best looking years for sure  M ode is supposed to be the desirable ones .

    I agree. I always liked the 68's. The M code is the 351 4V. The 390 and 428 cars bring more money for sure but M code is the desirable version of the 351's.

    It's a cheap way to get back into an old car. I been missing my Challenger lol.

    I occasionally check the 69 Mach 1 market as I have owned a 428 car for about 10 years. I am not sure that car would bring much more than $15K from what I see of the paint quality in particular. It seems a rather careless repaint when you see the door tag painted over. What other short cuts were taken?
    The car looks solid enough so that is positive along with the stick. However a real good M code would probably top out below $45K so work backwards.
    At $10K it would seem a very good deal.
