Mod Top Hemi cuda stolen
« on: April 30, 2016 - 05:28:42 PM »
I read on another forum that Steve Juliano's '70 mod top F8 hemi cuda was stolen 4/26/16 from storage in suburban New York.
Hard to believe such a unique and rare car could be stolen.  Probably being smuggled overseas or stripped. But everyone should keep their eyes peeled for it.

Terrible: The only one in the world, it's an artifact not a car. No good can come of this.

it's like a famous painting. you can't sell it, you can't display it, so what good is it? it's worth 50x more than the parts alone. sad

Sadly, there's douchebags out there that would steal the mona lisa to hang in their bathroom. So in reality, it's probably going to sit in said douchebags garage for a long time...

Thing is though....You could NEVER tell a soul or show the car to any one...The Mopar world is too tight knit of a group...Everybody knows this is a ONE of ONE car....

I have said it many times I will say it again the nicest e-body ever made.

This thing will show up in the middle east where all of the other stolen cars go. It was likely in a container on the way out of port by the time it was ever reported stolen.

Probably in Grissom Oregon, apparently Auto Theft is legal there....   :poopoke:

In all seriousness this sucks, the car is a museum piece & it's owner a super good guy... Not that any car or owner deserves this crap but Steven has made collecting & preserving the rarest & most interesting Mopars his life mission.... Along with making those cars & the associated memorabilia accessible to hobbyists that are interested in viewing his collection...

So how is a car like this stolen? Repo style where a tow truck swoops in and out within minutes? I cant imagine the average guy being able to start it and drive it away. Too temperamental!

I wonder how Hagerty will handle it?

Either flat bed or covered trailer.

I don't want to even disclose how it can be done cause this is just jacked.
