Remote hood latch, What's compatible?

Hello,
I did not having any luck in finding a 71 hood latch handle. So I decided on converting my standard hood latch to an electric remote hood latch. I read a few threads on the subject an it seems that the trunk latch from a fifth avenue is a popular swap. I have searched around on the internet and was not able to find one of those either. I guess some parts from 80's cars are getting hard to find. Just wandering what else is compatible and will work as a hood latch on a cuda.

I suggest a solinoid similar to the poppers used for door lock conversions. It is going to need something that has some power/strength to it. There is a lot more latch tension to overcome.
Above all you must retain a mechanical latch because of the event of a dead battery will leave you without options.

Good advice.    If you relocate the battery to the trunk it will solve that problem ( and others)

Battery is already in the trunk.
But still don't know which trunk latches will work for a remote hood latch. Surely some of y'all have done this conversion.

I located a couple threads on the topic.  You can always look for a cable pull hood latch.  Found one on Ebay that was for a later model Cuda.  They are out there, just have to find one.
